Going to California - Led Zeppelin

Spent my days with a woman unkind,

Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine.

Made up my mind to make a new start,

Going to california with an aching in my heart.

Someone told me theres a girl out there

With love in her eyes and flowers in her hair.

Took my chances on a big jet plane,

Never let them tell you that theyre all the same.

The sea was red and the sky was grey,

Wondered how tomorrow could ever follow today.

The mountains and the canyons started to tremble and shake

As the children of the sun began to awake.

Seems that the wrath of the gods

Got a punch on the nose and it started to flow;

I think I might be sinking.

iwantmore	Posted on 06:47AM on May 11th, 2008 This is one of my favorite songs, however, the symbolism of it escaped me until I read the lyrics. Funny, I've been thinking of taking a trip across country to California. I wonder if I'm supposed to learn from something from these lyrices today. Thanks for posting WOO. I enjoyed hearing the song. I have listened to Zepplin in a while.

To walk away from a 30 year relationship stuck in a groove takes some encouragement and guts. I've had the punch on the nose and was thrown a line. Gotta "Ramble on"
hardtimes Feeling exhausted	Posted on 10:45AM on Jun 8th, 2008 Love led zepp, have loved laughed cried and travelled to most of thier songs . 2 is my fav with 3 a close second. have got mothership, xmas pressie, my kids know me well. Kashmere is brill. saw bonham's daughter in faversham, England a couple of years ago. Great festival.
